Desktop computers were extremely popular in the 2000s and early 2010s. Everybody chose computers such as Dell, HP, and other companies to use for their home computer. As our technology advanced over time, devices started to become more portable. Laptops, especially MacBooks, were widely favored among people. I wanted to see if desktop computers are declining in searches today, to find out if people are starting to resort to MacBooks and other laptops for their computing needs. To do this I went to google trends and took the data of the number of searches on desktop computers overtime. These were the results: Data Link.

Forbes says desktop PCs were how we accessed the internet in the 2000s. They also say they are more powerful than a laptop, and it is often bought to be used as a "family computer". In total, Forbes believes PCs are not obsolete

Newegg says desktop computers last longer and are more reliable. They also are more customizable than laptops. They state the pros of owing a desktop.
